Tell me what really is love? I’ve been thinking about it since I was a child. I thought it’s an easy, simple thing. I heard about it everywhere; the love of a mother to her child, a friend to a friend and the one that’s so trending: the love for a special someone.

Now that I’m old enough somehow, all I know is I have all the reasons to celebrate love everyday ‘cause I know love. Call me pathetic, a nun or whatever, but I have found true love from Love Himself. He gave up His life for me, what greater love could I ever ask for? Only through His love can we truly learn to love others too. And when I say love, I mean the love beyond reason, the one that expects nothing in return. It’s easy to love when things go right and beautiful but when they get difficult and painful it’s another story. But still, you can love because it’s His love that enables you to.

Once you’ve felt it, nothing can take away the joy it brings. But sometimes you try to love and have the best intentions only to find out you’re already hurting them or yourself being hurt too. But when you have known Love Himself you don’t have to worry much. Whatever it is that you face now, He has the best in mind for you and the people you love. You just have to let Him do His job. He loves us like no one else ever could.

I wrote this as a declaration of my trust to God in this season of love. It’s funny and irritating how everyone gets so worried about me not having somebody by my side. I hope they can read this.

At this point in my life I have learned many things. Though some of them I have to learn through pain, I’m still grateful because they made me and my faith stronger.

I only have one ultimate desire ― that is to please God in everything I do, to make Him smile. I know for sure He wants me to be with someone who longs the same thing too. But even if i end up alone, I’ll still please Him no matter what. And I know that in writing this I’m putting a smile on His face.

I realized that the deepest spiritual lessons are not learned by His letting us have our way in the end, but by His making us wait, bearing with us in love and patience until we are able honestly to pray what He taught us to pray: THY WILL BE DONE. Acceptance of whatever that means is the great victory of faith that overcomes the world.
